Yes but on the Israeli side it's a small minority.. Only in orthox schools.. The people you meet on the street these days just wish to live a normal life.. You know children family etc.. As a student in Amman, I am appalled that you believe that our gov. text books promote hatred towards the Western society and Jews. They do not promote any such attitudes at all! Your rash generalizations are bias as there are millions of Arabs and Muslims in the world and you attack the whole society because of minorities! Think about the extremism of Israeli "minorities" and apply it to Arabs or any other culture. There will always be extremists but the majority want to live normal lives.

I am older. It is the younger generation that will have to refuse to be infused with the pain and hatred of our fathers. I am hearing from you that there are reasonable people on all sides. Hi peaceful cat. I don't know where you got your statements from. Arab children are NOT being taught to hate Jews in school. I'm Arab Christian, lived in Qatar my whole life and have never been discriminated against. As for the Gaza Strip and all, yes there are programs that demonize Israelis because they are currently at war. As a Palestinian I disagree with it. However I also diagree with Israel.

It's going to be very difficult to do anything as there are old origins for this practice. The qur'an itself says that Allah transformed SOME Jews into Apes and pigs and from that some people extrapolate to say that ALL jews are apes and pigs (not humans). Are you asking to modify the qur'an? or remove it from Schools? The Islamic ideology wouldn't permit it since is the basis for all of Islam. The best would be to strictly separate State and Mosque but even in Jordan Islam is official religion.
